China Cabinet {diy}

China: Kate Spade (Dillards) // Paint: Southern Honey Paint Colors: Nanny & Mary Ellen (Rossi Oliver) // Photo Canvas: Rachael Houser Photography // Chair: Kirkland’s

After searching antique stores and scrolling through for sale groups on Facebook, I finally found this beautiful piece at Peddlers Mall in Murray, Ky.

This is the only picture I have of the process during the refurbishing.

1. Make sure to wash the piece you buy. I used warm soap and water and scrubbed down the entire cabinet.

2. Remove all hardware.

3. You can buy little sponge brushes at Lowes that come with a blue pan for the paint. They are less than $3 I believe.

This is after paint without the hardware attached. I decided to paint the inside a different color than the outside. Since I knew what china pieces I wanted for our wedding china the white plates would pop against the light blue inside.

I LOVE how it turned out!
