Happy New Year everyone! I am so excited for what 2016 has in store for me. I’m sure that most of you know if you follow any of my social media but this is the year that I’m getting MARRIED! Coming June 4, 2016 I will be going from Miss to Mrs. I will also be graduating with a degree in Education in May. This year is going to be full of changes but I know I will make it through it.

Jessie’s Bridal Shower

Jessie, is one of my best friends from high school. We met our freshman year at cheerleading and we have been friends ever since. After many summers laying out by the pool and planning our dream weddings when we didn’t even have boyfriends, the time has come for her. Jessie & Logan are getting married May 30, 2015!

I knew a very special bridal shower had to be planned for Jessie, I mean after all you only get married once. I started searching on pinterest and this is what I came up with. A very rustic & simple bridal shower.

The picture in the frame is from {Jane} & the frame is from {TJ Maxx}.

The glass drink dispenser {TJ Maxx}

Since we only had 8 guests total I knew I could go a little overboard on the drink glasses. These milk bottles are from {Micheal’s} the drink tags I found at {TJ Maxx} and the handwriting was done by {thehipsterhandwriter}.

The monogram I ordered from {Jane} and the wreath is from {Hobby Lobby} the bow material I bought at {Micheal’s} but was assembled by my mother.

I’m in love with this chalk board sign, I bought the chalkboard easel from {Kirklands} and I asked Brooke who is the owner of {thehipsterhandwriter} & in my Pursuit Paducah group to help me out with this and the little drink tags mentioned earlier. She does an amazing job I really enjoy working with her.

This is adorable! I love how this turned out.

She was my first bridesmaid that I asked to be in my wedding but I told her I would also ask her on the blog.

Jessie Peyton Titsworth, Will you be my Bridesmaid?

Rocksbox Review

I’m so excited to share with you my first Rocksbox! I received my box at the beginning of the week but with the semester coming to an end I’m sure you will understand how busy a working college student can get. If you would like to know how Rocksbox works please see my previous blog {RocksBox It Girl}

The Rocksbox package comes with the box pictured below and inside the box is where the jewelry pieces are. The package is able to be resealed for when you decided to send your Rocksbox pieces back to receive three new ones.

 When you first open your Rocksbox there is a personalized note from your stylist!

The note holds a sweet message from the stylist and information about the pieces that your Rocksbox hold.

 The jewelry pieces come bubble wrapped and in these little back bags for protection.

 My first piece is this gorgeous Perry Street Whitney statement necklace the picture does not do it justice. The retail value for this piece is $75 but for Rocksbox members its $60.

 These little beauty’s just might be my favorite from this Rocksbox. They are by the designer Margaret Elizabeth and retail at $110 for Rocksbox members $94.

And finally my last piece is a Slate crystal chain cuff retail value $63 Rocksbox member cost $50.

Rocksbox is only $19 but with my It Girl code “kortneylanexoxo” you can get your first month FREE!

Rocksbox {It Girl}

Happy Monday!

I have teamed up with Rocksbox to be an It Girl!!

Rocksbox is a monthly designer jewelry subscription. I have looked into many subscriptions company’s but I have never been blown away. After doing some research I decided Rocksbox is a good fit for me.

How it works:

You sign up and take a style survey. Based on what you put on your wishlist a stylist will send you 3 pieces of designer jewelry that matches your style. You can keep them as long as you need when your done with them you send them back and then get 3 more new pieces. There is an option if you would like to purchase one of the pieces you just keep it and you get it at a discounted price.

Why I signed up:

First and foremost I am a girl on a budget that has a love for designer things. Rocksbox is only $19 a month! They carry many designer brands but two of my favorites are KENDRA SCOTT and LOREN HOPE!! I love jewelry but I’m not one to spend a lot of money on it so this is perfect for me. Plus if I wear a statement necklace that really makes a statement people will remember that necklace, so I will always have new pieces in my closet because of Rocksbox.

I will be doing a review as soon as I receive my first box at the end of this week!

I have a code for my readers to get your first month free at Rocksbox (kortneylanexoxo)

How to {successfuly} shop at Tjmaxx

IMG_9423Are you a maxxinista??  I enjoy the experience of shopping at Tjmaxx. In fact Mr. B and I went to the movies Saturday night and we had about 30 minutes to kill and he automatically pulled in the the parking lot at Tjmaxx without me saying a word. He’s the best!

One thing that I have always heard people say about shopping there is “I never find anything” or “I hate digging for things”, well hello the reason most people go to Tjmaxx is to find great deals on designer pieces and its not always gonna just pop out at you.

I am going to share my thoughts and what I do when I go shopping at Tjmaxx.

1. Handbags: This is the first place that I start since its located right next to the door at my local store. It depends on the season but normally I know what color purse I am needing and they are arranged in colors. A couple of my favorite brands that I have seen is Kate Spade and Michael Kors.

2. Jewelry: Always, Always, Always just take a peek inside the jewelry counter. I really like to look at the watches I just bought a Michael Kors with a pink face recently for $89.99. They also have good statement necklaces and stud earrings.

3. Shoes: I really like to check out the flip flops for the summer. I just bought a pair of mint jelly sandals with diamond straps for $12.99. They will be perfect for the lake.

4. Home: There is always a great selection of stationary so I always run through there to check it out. Also look for beach towels every year I buy a couple new ones and they are the best.

5. Clothes: Honestly, If your up for looking then look for clothes but if that’s not your style then that’s fine. Sometimes I am in a hurry or not in the mood to look.

6. Checkout: I always look at the phone cases. I have found Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer before I actually have a pink stripped Kate Spade on mine now. They have really cute wrapping paper and gift supplies also.

I would love to hear your awesome deals in the comment section below!!
